update: I think I may have figured it out, or at least I hope I have... I am
cautiously optimistic that I have discovered the secret, the lode stone, the
holy grail... the key to good fortune. The secret I believe may be the same
as the secret to good beer. Unfiltered. The best tasting beer is
unfiltered beer. It may cause headaches (cranial discomfort) if you overdo
it, but nothing can compare to the taste of unfiltered beer. I believe the
secret to good fortune is the same... be unfiltered. Don't let others, or
the man, or the government, or mega-corporations filter your life. Don't let
them tell you what to do or what to think. Don't let them filter your
cranium. Make your own decisions. Don't let them filter your options. You
may make mistakes, you may suffer the occasional headache, but the secret is
to stay unfiltered. Of course it's also all about balance. Great tasting
beer is a balance of water, malted barley, yeast, and hops. Good fortune
requires balance too... but the key is to do your own balancing... do your
own filtering. Don't let anyone or anything else filter your dreams and
ambition. Live unfiltered!
