I'm sure if you did a survey, you would find that the majority of men mount a toilet paper roll with the paper hanging off the front where you can easily find and see it. But I'm guessing from experience that the majority of women mount a toilet paper roll the other way with the paper hanging down from the back of the roll, where it may be more "aesthetically pleasing" but it is hard to find and grab. Why is this? Why do men value functionality and women value aesthetics, even when aesthetics make things less functional?  Another mystery of the universe to be pondered here at Cranial Borborygmus...

a failure to communicate?

A woman wanted to get a divorce, so she went to the courthouse and to see a judge.
The judge reviewed her divorce petition and asked, “Do you have grounds?”
The woman stared at him quizzically and said, “Grounds? Well, yes, your Honor, we do have about an acre and a half.”
“No,” said the judge, “What I mean is, do you have a grudge?”
The bewildered woman replied, “No, your Honor, we just have a carport.”
The judge started to get frustrated. “You’re not getting my point,” he said. “Does your husband beat you up?”
The woman replied, “Oh, no, your Honor, I’m up at 6:30 and he doesn’t get up until after 7:00.”
The judge became exasperated. He looked at the woman and asked: “Lady, why are you here? What is your reason for wanting a divorce?”
The woman replied, “Because my husband and I have a communication problem.”
